Lest We Forget $5 Silver Triangular Coin

Lest We Forget $5 Silver Triangular Coin

The Royal Australian Mint released a coin under their Anzac Centenary Coin Program which features an innovative triangular shape. The coin pays tribute to Australians and New Zealanders who have stepped forward to serve.

With the notable theme of Lest We Forget and the forever symbolic dawn scene, this spectacular coin pays tribute to all of those who have stepped forward to serve.

The reverse design of the coin features a symbolic scene at dawn framed within the triangular shape of the coin including the inscription “At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.” These words are from the Ode of Remembrance, which is regularly recited at memorial services held on ANZAC Day and other days commemorating World War I.
