Для Острова Ниуэ в 2014 году отчеканено три монеты с репликами древних римских монет — «Бык», «Венера» и «Юстииция» — древнеримской богине правосудия.

На аверсе портрет Ее Величества королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II. Вокруг портрета расположены надписи: «ELIZABETH II», «NIUE», «ONE DOLLAR» и  »2014», Кроме того указана проба драгоценного металла «Ag 999,9» и масса монет »15,5g». »15,5g», «Ag999,9».

На реверсе на переднем плане представлена реплика древнеримской золотой монеты, чеканенной во времена правления императора Веспасиана (69–79 гг. н.э.).  На аверсе древней монеты выгравирован профиль императора Веспасиана, на реверсе — сидящая богиня правосудия со скипетром и патерой (ритуальной чашей) в руках. Слева — современное олицетворение богини Юстиции, с завязанными глазами, весами и мечом в руках. Текст сверху в три строки: «UBI CIVITAS, IBI IUS» («Там, где государство, существует закон»).

Монета по 1 доллару из серебра 999-й пробы (proof), имеют вес 15,5 г. Тираж — 7 777 шт.

The Aureus was valued at 25 silver denarii and was about the same diameter, but heavier due to the differing densities of gold and silver. Julius Caesar standardised the weight at 1/40th of a Roman pound (8.18g), but as with anything in the financial world, they gradually got smaller and smaller until by the time of the Emperor Constantine, they were replaced by the Solidus, a coin weighing only 4.55 grams. Analysis of the Roman aureus shows the purity level usually to have been near to 24 carat gold in excess of 99%.

Because the Roman government issued base-metal coinage but refused to take anything but gold or silver coinage in payment for taxes, inflation was rampant, Along with the debasement of the silver denarius which by the mid 3rd century AD was virtually devoid of actual silver, the aureus became worth more and more relatively speaking. In 301, one gold aureus was worth 833⅓ denarii; by 324, the same aureus was worth 4,350 denarii. In 337, after Constantine converted to the solidus, one solidus was worth 275,000 denarii and finally, by 356, one solidus was worth 4,600,000 denarii. Echos of today’s farcical fiat systems perhaps…

Obverse: In the centre effigy of the Queen Elizabeth II. Around the coin inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II”, “NIUE”, “ONE DOLLAR”, “15,5g” (weight of the coin), “2014″and the hallmark “Ag999,9″.

Reverse: On the right hand side of the coin reverse there are the replicas of the Aureus – a gold coin from the ancient Rome, minted during emperor Vespasian (lat. Vespasianus) period (69–79). On the obverse of the ancient coin a profile of the emperor Vespasian, on the reverse of the ancient coin the sitting goddess of justice, with scepter and patera. On the left side of the coin a modern personification of blindfolded justice with a sword and a balance. Inscription (a Latin phrase): “Ubi civitas ibi ius” (“Where the state there the law”).

Монетный двор Польши по заказу Правительства и Министерства финансов Ниуэ в 2014 году выпустил второй выпуск из трех четырехсторонних пирамидальных монет «Сила Пирамид», созданный с помощью технологии, использованной при чеканке монеты «Fortuna Redux».

Давно установлено, что объекты в форме пирамиды оказывают на окружающую среду положительное воздействие. Известно, что все материальные тела способны в той или иной мере излучать энергию, создавая определенную энергетику окружающего пространства.

Египетские пирамиды — величайшие архитектурные памятники Древнего Египта, среди которых одно из «семи чудес света» — пирамида Хеопса и почётный кандидат «новых семи чудес света» — Пирамиды Гизы.

Аверс — основание монет-пирамид. На нем в центре изображен портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II работы Яна Бродли (Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS). Вокруг расположены надписи: «ELIZABETH II» и знак Монетного двора Польши. Вдоль края выгравированы надписи: «NIUE ISLAND», год чеканки «2014», номинал «15 DOLLARS», проба «Ag 999» и надпись «THE GREAT PYRAMIDS» (Великие пирамиды). Углы украшены декоративным растительным орнаментом.

Реверс — четыре внешниеграни. На реверсе изображены образы трех великих фараонов — Хеопс, Хефрен и Микерин. На четвертой стороне выгравированы декоративные элементы, взятые из гробницы Хетепхерес I (матери Хеопса), и статуя Нофрет. Их дизайнер — Урсула Валежак.

Монеты 15 долларов из серебра 999-й пробы, имеют вес 93,3 г, размеры 35 х 35 х 22 мм. Тираж — 2 222 шт. (proof), 299 шт. (Antique) и 299 шт. (BU, позолоченная).

The Government & Treasury of Niue have launched a new set of coins which feature the extraordinary and mythical designs of ancient on a unique pyramid-shaped coin to enhance those designs. The technology utilized in the production of these four-sided, pyramid-shaped coins is that of a similar process used for the well-known Fortuna Redux coins produced by the Mint last year.

For thousands of years people have been aware of positive, healing properties of pyramid-shaped objects. In the interiors of such objects magnificent energy of space is concentrated. Several studies have suggested that a positive effect that even scale model replicas of pyramids have on their surroundings when placed in accordance to magnetic cardinal directions.

The Great Pyramids of Giza are one of the largest works of architecture made by humankind. Built for pharaohs Khufu, Khafra and Menkaure, the pyramids fascinate us with their perfect design, position and purpose resulting in thousands of years of marvel at the incredible skills and knowledge of its designers for nearly five millennia. Although these out-of-the-ordinary treasures of Egyptian architecture have been subjected to wind, dampness, sand storms, deconstruction and pillaging for centuries, they have remained almost intact becoming a symbol of the highly developed civilization and, an immortal symbol of pharaoh’s divinity. The craftsmanship evident on these coins is the result of merging the skill of designers from two far-distant epochs of contemporary and ancient times as well as those of two very different elements of artistry – one in stone, the other in precious metal. The coins exquisitely detail the ancient Egyptian characteristic for that period – a faithful replication of images of three great pharaohs as well as decorative motifs taken from the tomb of Queen Hetepheres and the statue of Nofret of Meidum.

The coins, which have a weight of three troy ounces of pure silver each are designed by Urszula Walerzak and produced by the Mint of Poland on behalf of the Treasury of Niue. Three sides of the reverse depict effigies of three great pharaohs of the fourth dynasty – Khufu, Khafra and Menkaure. The forth side shows decorative elements characteristic of the era, taken from the tomb of Queen Hetepheres (Khufu’s mother) and the statue of Nofret.

The obverse or bottom side includes the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II which was created by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley and used on commemorative & circulation coins of many commonwealth countries since 1998. On the right of the Queen’s portrait is a mint mark (m/w). Along the rim are the inscriptions “NIUE ISLAND” along with “2014” and the coin’s face value of “15 DOLLARS”. Also included in the text is the hallmark of “Ag 999” and the name of the coin’s series “THE GREAT PYRAMIDS”.

The Mint of Poland have produced three different versions of the pyramid coin. Each pyramid-shaped coin is encased in a special custom-designed Perspex capsule and placed in an attractive fold-out presentation box for effective exposure along with a certificate of authenticity.
