Королевский монетный двор Канады в июле 2014 года выпустил новую монету «75-лет начала Второй мировой войны», посвященную раборающим во время войны женщинам.

Женщины Канады в военное время составляли ​​25 процентов рабоче силы. К 1944 году, 439 000 женщин были заняты в секторах услуг, 373 000 в производстве, в том числе 261 000 только в секторе боеприпасов.

The Royal Canadian Mint presents a limited edition silver dollar in recognition of the 75th Anniversary of the declaration Second World War. 

Right from its onset, the Second World War ushered in a new era for Canadians. When Canada declared war on September 11, 1939, it did so as an independent nation, not as a colony automatically drawn into the conflict by Britain. The romanticized patriotism that had greeted the First World War was gone, replaced by a collective memory of the heavy losses that had been suffered. The Great Depression had left Canada's military undermanned and underequipped, and idle factories and a diminished workforce now faced an urgent demand for airplanes, ships, vehicles, guns and munitions.

This minutely-detailed coin designed by Canadian artist Silvia Decota depicts three women, garbed in the work wear typical of the era around the Second World War; this conflict grew to such dire proportions that the urgent mobilization of the entire country was necessary, therefore requiring women — then relegated to the realm of domesticity — to begin working in war industries. This included the building of ships, aircraft, vehicles and weaponry, as well as in munitions plants and on farms. They could also be found driving trucks and providing logistical support for soldiers, among many other previously male-oriented roles.

Сoin presents a collage symbolically portraying three female workers completing construction of an Avro 683 Lancaster X. In the center of the image, a standing woman in bandana and work wear of the Second World War era lifts a wrench toward the ceiling of the fuselage. Flanking her on her left and right are two similarly attired women. These women are seated on a box in front of the standing woman, riveting each of the fuselage walls.

Нацбанк Украины 18 июля 2014 года представил монету «Львенок» серии «Детский Зодиак» посвящена детям, которые родились под созвездием Льва. 

На аверсе вверху размещен малый Государственный Герб Украины, надписи: «НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ» и номинал «ДВІ ГРИВНІ»; стилизованная композиция – на фоне звездного неба изображение знаков зодиака, под которыми на месяце сладко спит ребенок; год чеканки монеты 2014 и логотип Монетного двора НБУ, обозначение металла, пробы и массы «Ag 925/7, 78».

На реверсе изображена стилизованная композиция – слева на матовом фоне символ знака зодиака Лев, в центре на траве – львенок, вверху надпись «ЛЕВЕНЯТКО».

Монета 2 гривны из серебра 925-й пробы (UNC), имеет вес 7,78 г, диаметр 26,5 мм. Тираж – 10 000 шт.

The National Bank of Ukraine has put into circulation the commemorative coin, dedicated to the children born under the sign of Leo in Children Zodiac series.

Obverse: above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine); below there is the coin face value ДВІ ГРИВНІ (two hryvnias) under the conventionalized composition - against the background of the sky of stars there are the images of Zodiac signs with the child that is enjoying a balmy sleep thereunder; the coin issue year indication 2014 and the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint are to the right, while to the left there is the indication of metal, its fineness and weight Ag 925/7,78.

Reverse bears the conventionalized composition: to the left, on the lusterless surface, there is the sign of Leo; in the center there is depicted a little lion on the grass; above there is the inscription ЛЕВЕНЯТКО (lion cub).
